My values as a therapist:

As a spiritual therapist I approach therapy through a holistic lens. Holistic, to me, simply means considering a client’s full experience versus just looking at cognition.

It’s important to me as a therapist to recognize forms of oppression that might be impacting clients wellbeing as well. In our work together it will be common I point out systems such as capitalism, ableism, racism, misogyny, and homophobia. Experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mental health symptoms is not a sign of personal failure.

My intention is to always validate client’s experience while recognizing that a lot of distressing mental health experiences are attributed to harm caused by oppressive systems.

I am open to working with all people who may hold different beliefs than I do. However, a big part of my work as a therapist is social justice.
